Below you’ll find answers to some of the questions I’m most often asked about ordering a bespoke wedding cake. If you can’t find the information you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
The cost of a bespoke wedding cake depends on several factors, including the number of guests, the size of the cake, your chosen flavours, the complexity of the design, and the location of your venue.
Wedding cakes from Wren Cake Design start from £350 for a single tier cake, with most couples investing between £700 and £1,200 for a bespoke multi-tier design.

Absolutely not. In fact, many of my couples book before they know exactly what they want their cake to look like.
The most important thing is reserving your wedding date. We’ll work together to design your cake closer to the wedding, once your flowers, styling and other details have been finalised.
Around 3–4 months before the big day, we’ll arrange a design consultation and create a design that feels completely personal to you and your celebration.
Yes! I personally deliver and set up every wedding cake to ensure it looks exactly as intended. I’ll work closely with your venue and other suppliers to coordinate timings and make sure everything runs smoothly, leaving you free to enjoy your wedding day.
The cost of delivery and setup will be included within your personalised proposal and is calculated based on your venue location.
Unfortunately, I am unable to cater for severe allergies. All of my cakes are prepared in a kitchen where gluten, nuts, milk and eggs are present, meaning I cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

The number of tiers you’ll need depends on your guest numbers, how the cake will be served, and whether you’d like any extra portions to take home or enjoy the following day.
As a guide, a two-tier cake is usually suitable for up to 55 guests, while a three-tier cake will comfortably serve around 75–95 guests. For larger weddings, I can also incorporate kitchen cake to increase the number of portions without increasing the size of your display cake.
If you’re unsure, don’t worry – I’ll recommend the most suitable size based on your guest numbers and wedding plans.
For weddings taking place during peak season (May to September), I recommend booking your wedding cake 12–18 months in advance, as popular dates can fill up quickly.
For weddings taking place outside of peak season, 3–4 months is usually sufficient. However, if your wedding is sooner, it’s always worth getting in touch, as I can occasionally accommodate last-minute bookings depending on availability.
