Nestled in the beautiful countryside of Cumbria, Holesfoot is an idyllic location for a classic English wedding.
Surrounded by rolling hills and stunning vistas, the venue provides the perfect backdrop for a romantic and elegant celebration, so where best to showcase some incredible wedding suppliers!
The first thing that strikes you about Holesfoot is the incredible scenery. The Italian gardens provide a beautiful setting for outdoor ceremonies, and with 20 acres of private grounds, (and even a lake!) there’s so many picture perfect locations.
The wedding shoot was styled with a soft, natural aesthetic in mind and the incredible Chelsea at Seed and Wild created spring inspired floral arrangements, including a table meadow scape, dressed pillars and a full length full floral table runner. The aim was to complement and enhance the natural beauty of the location, rather than overpowering it with elaborate decorations or flashy accessories, and the colour scheme of peaches, blushes and ivories complemented the setting perfectly.
The bride and groom (Real life model couple Valentina and Daniel) were styled in complementary outfits that both matched the luxury feel of the shoot, but also the relaxed indoor setting of the main house. The bride wore a stunning lace dress with a pussy bow style ribbon, while the groom was dressed in a classic dark suit and bow tie.
The wedding cake was one of my favourite designs from recent years (although I know I probably say that about every cake!). The design embraced a minimalist aesthetic, allowing the fresh flowers to take centre stage while still incorporating thoughtful decorative details. Soft textured icing and delicate edible wafer paper lace added depth and movement, creating a contemporary design that felt perfectly at home within the elegant surroundings of Holesfoot.
Positioned amongst the floral styling, the cake became part of the overall design story rather than a standalone feature. The combination of fresh flowers, subtle texture and a refined silhouette demonstrated how a wedding cake can feel both understated and impactful, complementing the wider styling of the day without competing for attention.
Hopefully these beautiful images have given you some inspiration on how to celebrate your big day in a natural and authentic way! If you need some more wedding ideas, read my posts on Lake District Wedding Inspiration at Town Head Estate and Modern Wedding Inspiration in Windermere.
