Town Head is one of the few wedding venues in the Lake District that is completely unspoilt and away from the hustle and bustle of tourists, with beautiful gardens and rolling fields down to the lakeside and private pier and boathouse.
This styled shoot perfectly encapsulates what a relaxed barn wedding can be, with soft botanical styling to echo the beautiful greenery of the park land, and classic white florals with an abundance of foliage.
For the cake design I opted for a textured bottom tier in a deep olive green and touches of gold, to complement the flowers and stationery and also the rough texture of the barn walls. Using a soft caramel colour for the other tiers also added to the softness of the design, and it was finished with fresh eucalyptus and ruscus. The hoop cake stand was also dressed with foliage, a great way to add instant wow factor to any wedding cake display.
